At
InspirationALL Talent, we are already breaking new ground.
Our unique criteria for our talent represents
the evolution we believe is slowly transforming the one dimensional
world of fashion.
You may have seen the show How to Look Good
Naked in which Englishman Gok Wan ‘debunks the myth of perfection’.
Perhaps you’re familiar with the Dove campaign
for Real Beauty, which challenges the messages in traditional
advertising campaigns.
Even Jay Manuel and Tyra Banks have bantered
about representing ‘real’ bodies on American’s Next Top Model.
If this is a
trend, it’s a good one.
We believe
sculpting a positive body image begins with our youth.
So we have created an exciting new program that
actually builds self esteem.
The allure of this industry has always appealed
to teens.
Too often, they pick up the negatives traditionally
presented in advertising and magazines.
I am very
excited about launching our Teen Beauty & Self-Esteem Modeling Program.
It has been
a success in other cities and I am excited to introduce it to
Vancouver. I am
passionate about ensuring young women develop confidence in their own
beauty.
In addition
to makeup, skincare, runway and photography movement, the young women
learn about community service, money management, resume writing and job
interviewing skills. The self-esteem curriculum focuses on images
presented in the media, “Demythifying” the beauty industry and then
teaching the girls how to reframe their self-talk, write affirmations
and be more proactive viewers of the media images they see.
My goal is to
ensure the program is fun for the girls, develops their confidence,
encourages them to think about their community, and provides them the
basic skills to begin their community service and first part-time jobs.
